Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children?s Hospital.Â

The Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVR) at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a 10-bed critical care nursing unit for post-operative cardiac, vascular and thoracic patients and for patients requiring high intensity care including positive pressure ventilation and invasive monitoring.

Role Purpose
Under the direction of manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift. Performs direct patient care as needed and functions as clinical resource to nursing and support staff. Assesses, plans, evaluates and documents the nursing process of assigned unit as needed.
