The Division of Community Oral Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Clinician Educator track. This position is designed for an individual committed to excellence in teaching, clinical care, and community-engaged oral health research, consistent with the expectations of the Clinician Educator faculty track at the University of Pennsylvania.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Division’s educational mission through didactic instruction, clinical care, mentoring, and curriculum development within the School of Dental Medicine. The position also emphasizes the development of an independent program of scholarly activity related to community oral health, public health dentistry, health disparities, or related fields
• Deliver didactic and seminar-based instruction to predoctoral and graduate dental students in topics related to community oral health, public health dentistry, health promotion, prevention, and other areas. • Provide clinical care to patients at community sites managed by the division and at Penn Dental Medicine. • Contribute to curriculum development within the Division of Community Oral Health. • Mentor students and trainees in scholarly projects and community-based initiatives. • Develop and maintain a program of scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications. • Collaborate with faculty across the School of Dental Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania on interdisciplinary research and educational initiatives. • Participate in academic service activities within the Division, School, and University.
